two months
Two months ago at about this time, I was arriving in Nebraska to ask Lea the most important question of my life.
I also received the most wonderful answer! (By the way, if you haven't read the story yet, you really should.)
It's been 60 days since then, and there are 171 days left til our wedding. For those of you keeping track at home, that means we are 26% of the way there!
I love you Lea!

note about notes
Any of you who know Lea probably know about her notes. She writes a lot of cards to people...really sweet, thoughtful cards.
But I'm here to say... I GET THE BEST ONES!!
I have a bunch of cards from Lea in my dayplanner, and they are all so wonderful. She is a very good writer, and in these cards she shares her heart and basically showers me with love. They are wonderful the first time I read them...the second time...the third time...you get the idea.
Lea, you are lovely, and I love you!

computer geek
yes... I admit, I am a computer geek.
And today I was making a little desktop image for myself, and decided to share it with all of you. I must say, I think it's pretty cool - what with the reflection and all. :-)
So here it is...if you feel so inclined to download it, it's available for whatever monitor size you want. 800 | 1024 | 1280

ring me
We are looking at wedding rings.
I am having a really hard time deciding what I like. What do you think of these rings, please comment!
Also, I'm having a hard time deciding on the width. 6mm is standard, but I sort of like rings I have seen before that are just a bit wider...although I don't know how wide I should go...7, 8?

Follow up on seventh inning
The seventh inning stretch first began when United States President Taft was attending a baseball game many years ago. You may not know this, but President Taft was a farely large man (he actually got stuck in a bathtub in the white house during his presidency). So being crammed in a little bitty baseball stadium seat, by the end of the seventh inning he naturally felt the need to stand up, stretch, and get a little snack. As he stood up, the crowd stood up to honor him. Thus, we have the seventh inning stretch. I guess you learn something new everyday right!!!

take me out to the ballgame
Lea took me to a D-Backs game last night - it was great! I put some new pictures up on the pictures page.
I'll let her tell you the reason that baseball games have the 7th inning stretch.

6 is the magic number!!
Guess what James did yesterday?...It was our six month anniversary, as the previous blog has stated....This is what he did!! Well, he brought me a dozen roses to work (6 for the six months we have been together, and 6 more for the six months to go until we get married!). He also gave me a picture frame with 6 pictures (of him, me, and my family), a pack of 6 lip glosses (because my lips are dry? J/K), and 6 six pens (because I write a lot of notes/cards), 6 candles (they smell delightful!), and finally...a 6 pack of Reese's Peanut Butter cups (YUM!!). He knows me well, and he LOVES me well!!! Kristy said that some people at work made the comment, "Can we clone him??" And no, I'm sorry but you can't. Love you James!!
busy busy
So, the honeymoon is officially booked - http://www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com/
And our Christmas flight home to Nebraska is booked - that was fun because I got to put "Mrs. Lea Gottry" for Lea's ticket.
And the reception site is booked, and so the wedding date is set in stone!! (November 4 - if you want to see the countdown timer, go to the home page.)
And today is exactly 6 months to the wedding. And yesterday was our sixth month anniversary.
And Saturday we start our mentoring sessions through the church.
A lot of stuff huh. Wow, I think I'm going to crawl under my desk and take a nap now!

6 months...and 6 months
Lea and I have been together for 6 months today!
And in 6 more months, we will be at our rehearsal dinner!
It's amazing how much of your life can change in such a short period of time, but I'm am so grateful that it has. Lea and I continue to learn so much about each other, about love, and about God. I'm so glad we are a team - I love my teammate!
