hotels and Morgan!

Hey everyone. If you are coming out to the wedding and trying to decide which hotel to book, we have some info for you. As you may have seen, we have rooms available at four different hotels - 1 in Scottsdale (near the reception) and 3 in Mesa (near the ceremony).

We went and looked at the three in Mesa yesterday - all are great, but the best one is definitely Courtyard Phoenix Mesa. The great news is that it is also the cheapest - $74/night. We checked out a couple rooms and they were incredibly clean and nice - I think the hotel is fairly new. Also, we know that Tim will be glad to hear they have complimentary ice tea in the lobby. There is also a nice pool area, it's within walking distance of several restaurants and a mall, and just four miles from the church.

You can see all the hotels here: http://www.jamesgottry.com/leasaidyes/hotels/index.html

Hope everyone is having a great Monday.

Oh - and a special "shout out" (hehe) to Morgan (Lea's sister) who returned from a summer in South Korea this weekend and had to be back at college for the start of her junior year TODAY. Everyone say a prayer that Morg's jetlag won't be too bad, and that she will forgive me for the very odd "welcome home" message I left for her yesterday! We missed you Morgan - welcome home!!

Home sweet Home

I am flying home tonight from Minnesota. I am SO excited to see James. This might sound silly, but it seems like FOREVER since I have seen him. Seven days is the longest amount of time that we have been apart. I just realized that the reason I couldn't sleep the last couple nights was because I missed him so much. I feel at home with him.

Cali with Doodle

I'm in California right now, for work.

Doodle is with me.

"Who on earth is Doodle?", you make ask. Hey - good question, thanks for asking.

Doodle is our puppy. Yep, Lea and I have a puppy. He's a cute little guy, and he's been staying with me for the last few weeks. He even sleeps with me sometimes - he's a fun little puppy, very well behaved.

Anyway - so I brought him to California with me and smuggled him into the hotel. Here's a picture of us having dinner last night.

Lea is in MN right now for weddings - I think I mentioned that in the last blog, didn't I. Anyway, I miss her...I'm ready for it to be Saturday!

My brain is sort of fried from working all day, so I don't have much else to say at the moment. Oh - just thought of something. Lea is so sweet - she is amazing in how she remembers to ask about things. I was playing guitar for a "special" at church on Sunday - first thing she asked about when I talked to her Sunday night was how it went. She always does that - I love it! It makes me feel very special. What a girl!! Hear that sweets? I love you.

and then it was 3!

Three months from today, Lea and I get married!

In fact, three months from right now, I will probably be putting on the monkey suit.

This is what a dork I am, I actually have thought about the fact that September has 30 days, while both August and October have 31, and wished that it was the other way around, so it would trim another day off the time before the wedding!

Lea is going out of town tomorrow for a couple different weddings - she'll be gone for a week. :-( I'm actually gonna be in California for 5 days while she is gone (for work). I'm already looking forward to picking her up at the airport when she gets back! I'll probably be there early!!

oops!

I just posted a completely random blog that I meant to post on my blog at www.jamesgottry.com/blog. Sorry about that if it was confusing why I was putting this on Lea and I's blog!!

As long as I'm here - let me just say, Lea is such a great nurse - she works so hard and cares so much about the people she encounters.

Love you Bea!

long titles

McSweeney's: An Open Letter

Notice the length of the title compared to the length of the actual letter.

Good stuff.
