Hi everyone - hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Lea and I are in Nebraska for Christmas, our Nebraska wedding reception, and New Year's Eve...and just for general fun and merriment.

pic of the day
Lea went and made cookies with Amy (our sister-in-law) and Emily and Caleb (niece and nephew) yesterday.
I love that she does things like that - what a wonderful wife!
Here's the pic of the day :-)

Oh - and speaking of pics - I put more up from my birthday and Suprise Party that my darling threw for me. Here they are...

Mr. President
The former President of the United States, Ronald Reagan, called me for my birthday. I know that sounds unusual, but he did.
Push play to listen...

more birthday
I was stalling on doing this blog, because I was hoping someone at work could help me download a message from my phone of President Ronald Reagan (aka - Tim O'Dell) wishing me happy birthday, but I don't think he is here today...
So on with the blog - I'll try and add Reagan later. It was such a great birthday yesterday. I already told you about yesterday morning... last night Lea took me to LoLo's Chicken and Waffles for dinner (the site of our first date) and then took me to the new James Bond movie. It was sooo much fun - she made it such a wonderful birthday! Definitely my best one yet - and when you consider I was turning 30 (which would normally maybe not be the most fun), that means it was REALLY incredible.
I love you wife!

why Lea should be sleeping...
If you saw my comment on the last blog by Lea, you noticed I said she should be sleeping.
Why, you ask?
I'll tell you...
This morning I heard the alarm briefly go off...Lea quickly turned it off, got out of bed, and left the room. I squinted to see the time and saw it was FOUR IN THE MORNING! Lea spent the next couple hours decorating the house, putting out presents for me, writing little notes and messages, going and getting me a Big Breakfast from McDonalds (it's sort of a tradition thing - VERY sweet of her to do).
Anyway, all this after working two 12-hour shifts at the hospital the last two days.
Talk about making a guy feel special! Here's a few pics - I took them right before I left for work so everyone could see how sweet Lea is!

I'm wearing a shirt I got from Ma and Pa and family O'Dell - it's a black longsleeve shirt from the gap - very cool! When I get home, I'm gonna put on the cool jeans they sent me too!
Happy Birthday James!!
Today is James' 30th Birthday! Yahoo!
Although he is "over the hill" now, he claims that he is still in his 20's. Let me explain...we were talking this morning about what "30" means. I told him that he's not a "young kid in his 20's" anymore. He went on to say that, according to a discussion between him and his coworkers, centuries do not begin until it is a year ending in 1 (i.e. 2001, the millenium or 21st century). So, he said that he is not officially in his 30's because he won't begin a new decade in his life until he is 31. I would like some comments on that...could this be? And if so, does this year not exist for him?? Hmmm....something to ponder during your lunch hour.
Anyways, HAPPY 30th JAMES!!!
Love your wife!
