Monday, January 22, 2007great day!I really enjoyed yesterday, for several reasons, but the bottom line is this - I love talking to and hanging out with my wife! (I also like saying "wife") Just being in the same house with her is great! It was like a fun-lounge-around-some-goof-around-some-talk-some-do-separate-little-tasks-and-errands-some-and-cuddle-some kind of day. :-) Oh, and I like talking about our thoughts on spiritual stuff, sermons, etc. Ok, that was random, but it was a separate thought I had! It was funny yesterday cause we took a couple pics of us outside to send to her parents, cause dad sent us an email talking about the snow in Nebraska, and how it was our fault since I had really wanted it to snow when we were back for Christmas... so we decided to take a couple pictures in the sunshine, hehe. Of course, then amazingly, it snowed in Arizona last night! Guess that's our fault too! Anyway, just wanted to say that I love Lea and I love the way that talking and spending time together is a priority to her. Love you sweety! He is my best friend and I am so blessed to be his wife. I just wanted to tell the whole world that I am THRILLED to be Lea Gottry now! It's something I celebrate and thank God for everyday. Love you James! Tuesday, January 09, 2007loving supportI just wanted to brag on Lea for a moment :-) This weekend we went to Minnesota - I was playing in my cousin's wedding. It was a fun time - although much colder than we would prefer :-), but it was great hanging out with some family and letting them get to know Lea a little better and see how amazing she is! Now, my story: My aunt Elaine does coaching for a living. Not sports coaching, but professional coaching - working with executives on identifying strengths and weaknesses, and growing as professionals. She is basically a consultant. This is FASCINATING to me. So I was sharing that with Lea, and said something like, "boy I would love doing something like that, BUT..." Well, Lea didn't let my BUT get in the way! :-) She told me all these really sweet things about how she believes in me and supports me and a bunch of other stuff that made me feel absolutely positively super-duper good, and ready to conquer the world. And so as a result, I'm looking into some things and trying to figure out ways that I could maybe start learning about coaching, and try to integrate that into my job at ADF, etc, etc. All that to say this - my wife believes in me, and I love it!! And I am so determined to make her proud because I love her so much and I feel so encouraged by her support of me. So thanks baby - I love you!! p.s. - here's a cute pic of us at the Mall of America 
Friday, January 05, 2007new web designHey - well, now that we are married, we figured it was time to refresh the website a bit, so click on all the sections and you can see different pictures of us from the wedding, honeymoon, Christmas, etc - hope you like 'em! I had a lot of fun putting the new pictures in the page headers...it's an excuse to look at my beautiful wife! We got back Monday night and we are leaving again tomorrow - I'm playing for my cousin's wedding in Minnesota and Lea gets to come too! We were talking about how this is our first post-wedding wedding that we are attending, so we get to just sit back and enjoy. How was everyone's New Year? We braved the snow and went and saw Rocky with Jodi and a couple other new friends. Then we went to a little rec room across the street and shot some pool and played some air hockey. It was really fun. Lea is so sweet - she watched old 80s basketball with me last night - tell me that isn't love!! |
